Name it Oak Hill since it defines the area.  Do not go with the name of a person to make a statement.  We do not need astronauts or aspirational names like 'Discovery" or Innovation.

And, why was it renamed?  Because it has its own post office and community.  It is not part of Herndon.  Some parts align more with Chantilly--and are much closer to Chantilly.  Some are closer to Fairfax.  Some are closer to Oakton. Some are closer to Reston.
Living on the other side of the DTR means that the neighborhoods do not connect.  
You might consider looking at a map.
