At my house of worship, it is more like the next fight in a series of civil rights movements.  In the 1800’s it was bondage. Then came sufferage. Then, the civil rights movements in the 50’s and 60’s and women ‘s rights in the 60’s and 70’s.  Then gay rights and AIDS awareness in the 1980’s.  It seems there is always some group getting the shaft for just existing.  [/quote]
