But they aren't spending their "disposable income" on it, they are asking their parents to buy it for them. Why? Because they can't afford it, because it's stupid expensive.

I bought Maybelline and Cover Girl in the 90s, not because I didn't know more expensive makeup existed, but because it was what I could afford and no way in hell my mom would have bought me makeup from a department store or MAC just to mess around with. I remember my mom offering to buy me nice makeup as a gift when I was 26 and got my first law firm job. [/quote]
