Most of your teams are playing pretty far down and clearly the timing of this tournament was sent to start towards the conclusion of ecnl. The weather looks good. Some fields good and some fields crappy, intentional aerial shots only showing some fields. But good luck nevertheless. Appreciate your kids working for mine in 10 years.
Says the guy who's kid is in Kansas for an ECNL event at same time. Or are you a parent of a kid who did not make team in either league?
the only issue is Nova has too many top teams diluting talent. So they rarely are able to compete with teams at national level.
That’s just BS. The local teams are doing fine this weekend and even some that have struggled are doing decent in KC/CA. It’s as diluted here as just about anywhere else.
not BS.. truth…NOVA should be producing teams that are in quarters and semis annually. They arent
For teams to compete at that level, there needs to be a single team or two that talent is migrating into, and that happens: VDA & FCV 06s, FCV 07s, VDA 08s & 09s, Arl 11s. Dropping the bottom few local ECNL/GA teams, which are able to compete at national events, won’t make that top 1 or 2 teams better.
nope. You got top girls spread across too many teams. VDA FCV Arl benefited from NVAs move to GA last season which shows they lacked talent. Make a super team from SYC NVA VDA ARL FVU ALex.. and that team would year in and out always be a post season team across all age group. Now we just have badge chasing parents.
VDA 08 (natl semis) had ALREADY pulled girls from NVA, when they still were ECNL including one headed to FSU and one to VT, not to mention the girls from FCV who went to VDA - one going to ND, one going to Penn St (09). All of that happens organically…talent migrates. Collapsing the number of teams gives LESS opportunity. One of those girls started travel on Loudoun’s 3rd or 4th team, but was able to move to a 1st team GA/Girls DA team, develop, and now is one of the top players in the country. Why would you want a player like that stuck in a program that couldn’t see her potential?
no it elevates the club and gets them on a coaches radar. Most of the players you mentioned I can assure you got little to any scholarship money to play. Are treated like walks on and eventually quit. It’s very rare for a 4th team kid to suddenly be the best in the country. So let’s be more realistic. Until you see a club across multiple age group consistently winning it pretty meaningless.
Just stop. You are talking completely out of your a$$. 2 of the 3 08s spent this past summer with the u17 National team; They were in the final 24/final roster, including 1 that was 3rd/4th team when she first started travel.
no pretty much spot on. You are pretty much talking out of your rear talking about a low probability situation. Let me know how successful those players are.. lol..
They are doing fine, clown. COMBINED U.S. U-19 AND U-18 WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM DEFEATS IRELAND, 1-0, ON LATE GOAL FROM AUDREY MCKEEN https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2025/10/combined-us-u-19-u-18-womens-national-team-ireland-late-goal-audrey-mckeen
keep trying.. pivot pivot…. Very defensive of majority of kids not succeeding because of diluted talent. again Nova teams dont do well at national level.
You said those girls are “walk ons”. You clearly don’t know anything about the top players/teams in this area at the age groups that matter (u16-u19). It invalidates your point, because the top players migrate to the top team(s) and do fine nationally and collegiately. Plenty of girls on the “lesser” teams have the opportunity to play in college, if they want to.
no i didnt say they were walk ons. I said they get treated like walkons as they get little to no scholarships money. Be eyeful of clubs flexing college signings. They aren't what you think they are. And no most top girls do not migrate to one team. As friends and distance generally leads them to pick convenience.
