If your kids school called and said that your child called another child ‘piggy’, ‘ugly’ or a ‘r*****’, would they be in trouble with you or no? I’m going to say zero back, this is just actually the thing that most baffles me about trump voters
Have you ever been in a public high school? I can assure you that "piggy" would be viewed as a very mild word choice.
My kid is in public high school. By the time they are seniors, most kids are not crass bullies. They have language that is crude but they don’t generally make fun of other kids they don’t know so much anymore. Calling someone “piggy” because you don’t like what they said will not garner you any points anymore. In middle school, the “cool kid” could have had the whole class cracking up but by senior year, most kids do not get involved and actually avoid the bully.
By just being a contributor to this forum, I'll I bet your kid is not enrolled in the kind of high school where kids often use foul and bullying language towards adult authority figures and other students.
