Wikipedia:  Ep 3 (ep title is "Tall Tales") Lamb shares an anecdote about an agent who, alongside his pregnant lover, was brutally tortured by the Stasi, all for information he ultimately did not know. The other Dogs are captivated by the story, allowing River, Shirley and Coe to disarm and restrain them. 
Afterwards he says he made it up.

Very end of the series you realize he didn't.

I thought River's grandfather really would have had pertinent info when River hung up on him or wouldn't take his call. It turned out in a way he did, but River wouldn't have caught it at the time anyway.

And a 6th season--Yay!

I can't remember exactly which books I've read, but looking it up there's definitely 4-5 I haven't.

One weird thing--I hadn't watched season 5 until the past couple of weeks, yet when the paint bucket falls on Gimball's head I would have sworn I had actually seen it. All I can think is that they do the series so well what I saw on the screen coincided perfectly with the memory of the book--even though I can't remember which book it was and couldn't have recited the plot this long after reading it.
