How will they verify people actually need this and will go hungry without it?
It’s a temporary program limited to 250 meals a night at each high school. It will be ok. APS doesn’t need to quiz people on when they ate their last meal.
I care about programs including 250 meals a night at school going to people who actually need them.
I volunteered at a “soup kitchen” that served a great meal every Sunday for years. No questions asked and all were served. The people who showed up were in need and ranged from obviously homeless to families with kids Even the volunteers rarely ate the food even though they were allowed to. It’s a different mindset than who would line up for a $100 gift card.
