We want to stay at Oakton because it is a known high performing school that many of us bought houses specifically to attend. The dream is Crossfirld Carson TJ but it won’t happen for all. So Oakton is the next best alternative. Western is a cluster of unknowns. [/quote]

True.  Though my neighbor's kid who has now graduated from college did go to TJ.  He liked it,but says he now regrets not going ot the local high school.  Bright, smart young man who also has good social skills.[/quote]
