95% of the time when a GOP or Dem politician is supported by regular people, it is a matter of people being duped into voting for something that is in conflict with their interests. End the H1b program, block all subsidies to companies who offshore parts of their business, and investigate Blackrock and Vanguard for market manipulation and break them into 1000 pieces that are not too big to fail.
