At a school of this size, 97% retention would mean about 18-20 people were leaving in a given year. If most of those happened to leave after 8th grade last year, it would have the effect PP was describing. (I also would venture many schools in the area have significant waitlists that they might not go to for any number of reasons).[/quote]
