Are there any actual cases of kids getting 'caught' playing HS and the club or the kid being punished? My kids wants to play HS next fall but still play MLSN in the spring or make some of the games in the fall. At this point, he knows he's not going to be top D1 commit or anything so he's not too worried about having to leave MLSN if it comes down to that.
The dc kid playing for broad run hs was caught. I think he got kicked out but he didn’t care as he was a senior. Who would care?
Once again the kids playing for academies for Free should absolutely not being play HS soccer. However, anyone that pays-to-play (MLS next included) should have the ability as long as they talk to the coaches and reach agreement. Honestly, the coaches have talked to do no care as long as they show up and the clubs themselves are the ones responsible who have to sanction themselves. The sanction is a fine for the club so they would be giving themselves a fine to pay. If they did get rid of someone, they are probably not a starter and not going to play D1 soccer, in there eyes anyway. If that is the case, it's better for the kid to find a club where the coaches believe in them.
