I disagree. Have seen security personnel  and policemen take down (pull to the ground) in seconds men who are acting strangely and uncooperatively around Atlanta's downtown and GA Tech areas.[/quote]

It would have taken more than a few seconds to simply get to the man, even if they were in the same car. And they probably wouldn't have been.

There are situations where trained police could help, but this wasn't one of them. There aren't a lot of situations where untrained national guard can help.[/quote]

I still disagree. His agitated movements and demeanor indicated he wasn't okay mentally.and a trained eye would have noticed and a security person could have moved closer to him. On a daily basis, our church feeds hundreds of homeless men who wouldn't hurt anyone. Some individuals just stand out.  [/quote]
