What an idiot. Standing real close filming. They probably told him back up. Yeah, its okay to video but it may not be okay to record conversations. Maybe he violated the wiretap law.
DC is a one party consent jurisdiction. He can record anything he can hear.
Yes, from a safe distance. He was arm’s length from law enforcement who were arresting some. Given the very real threat that law enforcement has faced in recent months it was completely reasonable for the MPD officer to direct the guy to move away. That’s how 80% of the country will see this. Stop stepping on the rake.
+1 If the officer told him to move and he didn't, then the arrest is lawful. Most of the country doesn't think the way DC and other blue stronghold areas think. The law doesn't support many of the the wild liberal assertions on this board either. More leftist feelings and my truth rather than facts . . .
You sound…un-American. Americans used to tar and feather officials when they stepped out of line just to remind them they had a public they were accountable to. The sort of meekly submitting mindset belongs to the Russians and other inferior and debased cultures.
It's ludicrous to suggest that following the law - that has been in place for a long time for good reason - is un-American. But you know what DOES sound un-American? Supporting anti-American terrorist groups and obstructing attempts to secure our borders.
You mean like not following the constitution? Seems the federal government and republicans does are done with that. We all are in favor of going after anti American terrorists groups like Jan6’ers but they got pardoned and pay outs. Right now Texas and Florida are sanctuary states because there is no ICE enforcement there.
