I think you're ignorant to suggest that racism is not still very present in this country.  I don't like the way the American eagle ad campaign talks about genetics.  And I'm entitled to my opinion.  You do you.[/quote]

I never said that. Racism very much exists in this nation, as demonstrated in this thread. But the fact that racism exists doesn't mean that white people can't feel good about their heritage in the same way everyone else does. There's nothing wrong with being white or European. [/quote]

You just refuse to engage with the genetics part of this conversation.   Is there something right or good about being white as opposed to wrong or bad?  If you think that, then you think that.

My really close Brazilian friend does not feel good about that heritage because of the Brazilian genes.  It's the family, the people, the language, the culture, the music, the food and on and on.  The day this friend starts telling me that Brazilians have the good genes and the good eye color is the day I might rethink the friendship.
