True - but I'm thinking people should have to submit a TOEFL test if they're not a native speaker and maybe the reading portion of the SAT/ACT for native speakers just to assess basic reading comprehension.

If they're going for something like business or engineering then definitely the math portion.

Many companies require GPA and sometimes SAT scores for intern positions, why not some measure of competency for non-interns? Artists/architects need to submit portfolios.[/quote]

Who are you to tell a company who they should and should not hire?  As long as they're not doing anything illegal, why don't you worry about your own company?

If American eagle thinks they can sell a lot of jeans with a Maga queen spokesperson then let them hire the blonde haired blue-eyed Maga queen and sell as many jeans as they want.  That is their business.[/quote]
