What items are actually made in India that come into the great US of A? Do you get those things regularly or enough to be affected by new round of tariffs?
For us - Indian food products at Indian grocery stores. We will still be ok because of several reasons - - Many of our Indian products are coming from farms run by sikh entrepreneurs and farmers in Canada - There is a thriving cottage industry of food products made locally. - Most Indian Americans are well to do. Indian food staples usually do not cost a lot because they are minimally processed and bulk packaged. Paying an additional 2-3 hundred bucks will not harm anyone. - We will not see an increase in prices for clothes and Indian dresses. The importers will eat the cost or most people will buy directly from Indian manufacturers. Or those who will buy won't care about the cost. - Most of my meds are usually filled with my prescription when I travel to India. - I buy all my retin-A cream in India for personal use. Also, I have many friends and family members who travel to India and pick up what I need.
