Sorry i don’t give to panhandlers. I give about $500 a month to various charities because I know a $1 will go a lot further when allocated beyond one person.

Look up charities and how much is pocketed by the charity. Some like Goodwill keep around 90%+ of profits/donations/wealth. :D

Even the best of them is like 75% kept/pocketed, and less than 25% actually making it to the donation cause.

Anyways, giving food is usually poorly received — our local food bank has plenty of food and they can easily get it, county will even give them a free ride. We cook everything from scratch, I doubt they would be excited about a head of broccoli.
