These are the stand out programs for each of these schools based on the numbers of graduating majors, which are disproportionately higher than the percent at the others. Amherst- Biology, Legal Studies, Psychology, Architecture Pomona- Cognitive Science and Linguistics, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Media Studies, Public Policy Analysis Swarthmore- Education, Engineering, Computer Science, Philosophy Williams- English, Economics, Art, History
So basically sophomore students actually help the world while the rest of these grads are entitled or actively destroying it.
Yup. All those bio majors at Amherst and Pomona who become doctors and prevent stupid people like you from dying are really destroying the world. And the architects at Amherst who designed your mom's house so you can sit in the basement in a wife beater drinking a Coors Light and type stupidity.
They were clearly talking about the Williams Econ bros-who definitely make the world a worse place. Architecture and Media Studies at a liberal arts college is straight up a waste of a degree.
"A waste of a degree?" Who are you to judge? The rampant pre-professionalism is truly destroying this country - it is such a low class mentality. And it is none of your business what someone studies. Opinions are like butt holes. Everyone's got one.
You say after assuming all the bio majors are doctors-a pre-professional path. Right...
No. You made a blanket statement saying they are all useless. I said that at least some were doing work that any idiot would consider "useful" - I did not say all. Way to contort what I said. Please leave this thread. You are ruining it. You clearly are not bright enough to consider these schools anyway. You likely couldn't find them on a map. And you clearly think they are all awful. So go away. Low class trash.
Wow, looney tunes over here. Also extremely classist, while likely being poor. Sensing a lot of insecurity
How is that classist? Do you even know what that means? Or just throwing out words you heard somewhere to try to act smart when actually advertising your stupidity. I wish all of the people who go through all of these ridiculous mental gymnastics to be nasty and put down people and schools would channel all of that mental energy towards being constructive, useful and making the world a better place. But I think that is too much to ask. I think there are a lot of people here who are struggling to differentiate liberal arts schools that tend to look extremely similar, and have very nuanced differences. Which is very reasonable and makes a lot of sense. And how one perceives those differences depends a lot on one's own very personal frame of reference, so that doesn't always translate well here. But it is kind of people to try to help, and those who disagree should do so in a helpful way. But what do I know.
