I'm curious as to who is actually doing the hiring for this school. This morning I got an email from MCPS saying I was offered a job at MBLI. 30 minutes later I recieved an email from someone at the Central Office of MBLI saying I did not in fact get the job. Seems weird and disorganized.
My understanding is that the MBLI founders have the hiring decision power, but offers are still through MCPS. For Internal transfers you get a verbal offer from the principal, but then it takes some time for HR to follow up with the paperwork. However, they are waaay late in the hiring process and voluntary transfer season is closed without the approval of both principals. There’s still a lot of open positions at other schools and usually at this point principals have to hire from outside the district - typically new teachers or people who are moving.
