All women only go after guys who check three boxes: at least 6 feet tall, make six figures, and have six-pack abs. But when you break that down, not many guys actually meet all those standards. Only about 14% of men in the U.S. are over 6 feet tall. Around 25% make $100k or more. If you combine just those two, you’re already down to roughly 3.5% of men. Add in the six-pack requirement, and you’re probably looking at 1% or less. So, every woman is chasing that 1%. On the flip side, guys tend to have simpler preferences. They mostly want someone who’s attractive. There are a lot of beautiful women out there at any height and income range.
Maybe women just want men who are better at math than you?
+1  I'm 5'5" I have a whole range of acceptable heights that still make me feel that they are taller than me. And in some cases, their height doesn't matter.
That’s you. You are part of a small minority. Most women won’t consider dating men who are under 6’ [twitter]https://x.com/TheRabbitHole84/status/1684629709001490432?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1684629709001490432%7Ctwgr%5E8463095592f287c69fcf2043e98c03f3cedcdece%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10[/twitter]
I am a statistician and design lots of surveys. If the question was asked about heigh in cm instead of feet you will get a very different result. If you ask women would 3 cm makes a difference to them 178cm vs 181cm) you will be surprised by the answers. Unfortunately a lot of these surveys about height and other physical preferences are so badly design and the speed at which social media posts travel you get a skewed view of reality.
I also think a big part of this is - women don't actually know how tall men ACTUALLY are! I've seen videos of a man with a tape measure going around, asking men how tall they are. Of course they all say they are 6' (or taller). He asks if he can measure them, and some were like 5'7". Most were 5'8/9/10. Their gfs had no idea how tall they actually were, they just assumed they were 6' because thats what the men told them. So I think (some) women who think 6' have dated men who were actually 5'9" saying they were 6' but because they are shorter than them they couldn't even tell. There is a lot of data missing from this chart for sure.
You may be right, but does it really matter if they don’t how tall men actually are? The bottom line is that most women are fixated on dating tall men or at least men that are much taller than them. They consider 6 feet to be a good height and use it as their magic number even though they couldn’t tell the difference between 6ft and 5ft10. The bottom line remains that they are fixated on height and all prefer tall men.
I'd say yes, if we're going off this data. If women think theyd actually rather date someone who is 6'7" but they dont actually know how tall that is, I think that makes a difference. It's a weird delusion that both sexes play into.
