I agree that the Democrats should move more center but, building on your point, Americans don't want want the GOP/MAGA is selling either. They need to move more center as well. The Democrats will win in 2026 and 2028 as the political pendulum naturally swings.[/quote]

The function of government is to provide services and programs that individuals can’t provide on their own.  I’m happy to pay taxes so we can have national parks and accurate weather forecasting.  The majority of Americans like Social Security and Medicare.  Do you want the full burden of caring for your elderly parents for 20+ years?[/quote]

I have a crazy idea.

I know that it seems nuts, but what if we tax all of the hyper rich in an appropriate manner?  We could tax wealth and income at a much higher rate and still probably be way lower than most 1st world countries, then use that money to benefit Americans.[/quote]
