My kids are from NOVA and attended UVA. They have no college friends from NOVA. Their best friends are from MA and OH respectfully. They went to a smaller school in the burbs and for their class, it's the top 5% who get in and largely a good amount of them do attend. Why? because it's a great School, inexpensive, two hours away which is somewhat perfect, and large enough to find friends in all capacities. The professors and academic have been great. they've gotten great internships and I have to think a large part of that is the name recognition.[/quote]
