The problem with what this administration is doing is that they are cancelling the lawful presence (including parole, TPS, applicants for asylum or other relief, and others) of people who are in the US, thus rendering them illegal, and then deporting them.

I don't know a lot about immigration law but I just googled some of those terms and it says parole is discretionary and temporary and TPS is "temporary protected status".

It's a lawful holding status determined to be necessary for that individual's protection given their circumstances during the very slow legal process (and it is not the individual's fault that it's a slow process).[/quote]

Exactly. It's disgusting that MAGATs just want mass deportations of brown people. We can all agree that violent criminals and those who have deportation orders need to be deported legally. But those people who are here following the rules and working with the system have no reason to be deported. [/quote]
