Can’t the BLM lady just buy a house AND donate to Harvard with the donor funds?! Win win! That’s why nonprofits are going to start paying taxes. Abused donations for lifestyle living and ponci schemes
As someone who worked for non-profits for near poverty level wages for years, the amount of ignorance (and brainwashing) in this post is astounding. Next time your community deals with a natural disaster don't call the Red Cross. You think they are pointless. And your dear leader already hobbled FEMA, so good luck with them.
Are you at Red Cross? What’s your overhead? What do you think of how BLM was run and their overheard %? I worked at Gates Foundation before moving here, we donate with an ROI lens.
Congrats. Gates Foundation staff are known to be arrogant. Checks out.
Lol. A donor is arrogant because they want 90-95% of their donation to go directly to the cause, supplies, service programs instead of paying you to go to boondoggle conferences, travel, bloat admin, and overpay yourself for being a middleman?
My salary working for non profits ranged from: volunteer to 65K. Very few non-profit staff earn even a fraction of what they could easily earn in the for-profit sector.
Is that right? Which private sector jobs would they be suited to?
Welll, my colleagues from that time went on to work at consulting firms, law firms and some run their own businesses. But, you know, I'm sure you're very familiar with people who've worked at non-profits and then moved into the private sector, so why don't you tell me some of the examples you know. If you know non-profit staff, you know that most do that work from around age 20-30 and then move on.
