In 2016 even as he was running he ran afoul of the NLRB for refusing to negotiate with the union at his Vegas hotel/casino. He was a Republican from 1987 until 1999 and then switched his registration 5 times between then and 2012. Roy Cohn was a registered Dem as well, but he had close relationships with both Nixon and Reagan.[/quote]
