Quite possibly.  However, Bernie's popularity may transcend party but that is another way of saying that is not popular in his party (the Democrat party, I assume you mean).  If you mean AOC's popularity has transcended her party, then if you mean that she is not popular in the Democrat party, then I agree.  But if so, then she should not get this leadership position.
