Living in Dubai, I personally knew a woman who had it done at a popular clinic in Abu Dhabi. It wasn't rumors: this was someone I met with regularly and talked to before and after the surgery. I saw the scars, etc. It healed really well and she did look great (in clothes). And it wasn't a freakishly rare thing there, either, among wealthy women from certain groups.
