Sadly, because this is about how religion impacts voting and politics. And right now, there's a lot  of political targeting. I am someone who literally cannot bring up Israel, Palestinians, Gaza to any of my religious contemporaries. Not one. This is religion. This is culture. [/quote]

Mine is Conservative (Adas Israel) but, like I said, plenty of space for a very wide range of opinions. I strongly suspect that's the case at most Reform congregations in D.C., too. Less so Orthodox ones.

Not familiar with attitudes on Israel at suburban congregations these days, so I probably should have qualified my earlier comment. [/quote]
