The same girls from the top teams at McLean, Loudoun, SYC, Arlington, GFR, Vienna, PWSI, VSA, BRYC, and Alexandria have played against one other countless times over the last 5 years.  Moving to ECNL introduces 8 non-NOVA clubs, with only 4 NOVA clubs in the Mid-Atlantic division.  Moving to GA currently introduces 11 non-NOVA clubs, with only 3 NOVA clubs in the Mid-Atlantic (up from just 1 last year).  Next year, 7 GA Mid-Atlantic clubs will be from NOVA.  That's not elite or exclusive, it's more of the same. [/quote]

Congratulations, you're the reason why the travel soccer overpay for play model exists and thrives.  You think that playing the same exact caliber of players from a longer distance away makes things better.  Because traveling to Wilmington, NC to beat up on a team that's only in the ECNL due to geographic isolation is so much better for your kid's development.  Yaaaay!!!![/quote]

We're making it worse by spreading a fixed amount of talent across a larger number of teams.  So yes, I prefer the current situation over what we will have next year, and last year's situation over what we have this year.   [/quote]

Or on another note having more teams can give more kids time to shine. Let's be real coaches have favorites. The same people saying the talent is diluted is usually the same person crying on sideline about kids position or time in game. but hey you got the hat![/quote]
