[/quote] PP - The Daily didn't go into in depth, but said that Trump has known Hegseth for a long time and I guess considers him a friend. Even wanted Hegseth to have a role in his first administration, but it didn't work out. Waltz is a Trumper, but that doesn't mean they are actually friends outside of their political relationship. And Trump is (not surprisingly) fixated on the fact that Waltz is the one that added Jeffrey Goldberg to the group chat. It's not like Trump actually cares about protecting classified information. Trump cares that his NSA has Jeffrey Goldberg in his contacts.[/quote]
