You're alleging that this person wouldn't have shot anyone if the city hadn't hired them as a violence interrupter? Based on what evidence? Seems even more unbelievable considering he wasn't even employed as a violence interrupter at the time of the shooting. [/quote]

Not PP, but I think you're misconstruing what that PP wrote. I think it's reasonable to argue that it's misguided for city leadership to pursue violence interrupter programs, as opposed to other programs that might actually help these violent people. So, yes, if this guy had actually been helped to get a real job, as opposed to a fake violence interrupter job, maybe he wouldn't have continued his violent ways.[/quote]
