I want him for mayor of nyc.
Why?
Wasn’t he the governor? Why would he become mayor of NYC? Do Dems not have any viable candidates left? Why are they recycling the same people? This guy and his brother were Me Too’d by the same party that now wants him back in action? Insane
You obviously don’t follow politics and know little of NY. He was considered a capable governor who stood up to Trump and got things done. NYC is a mess right now and people would welcome him back. The sexual harassment stuff was stupid on his part, but a nothing burger and really a power play internally. And the nursing home covid deaths? Silly to pin on him. It was chaos in NY. NY got hit hardest for obvious reasons (pop density and we are an international gateway). People were dying and they didn’t have beds or tests or care and bodies were literally been stored in make shift fridges in the park. He had elderly hospital patients released back to nursing homes, and specifically said that if the nursing home couldn’t care for them, they could refuse. Where else were they going to go?? The nursing homes didn’t refuse bc they wanted the $$ of course. They should have isolated people just as they do all the time when there are infections. The truth is it was staff mostly responsible for the uptick. They needed people to work but so many people were likely spreading it. And these children of patients who died complaining? So selfish. Why didn’t they take their parents home to care for them?? It was chaos and everyone was sick and there weren’t enough tests or care. Nurses were being bused in from out of state. Cuomo made the best of a horrible situation. Not his fault. It was a no win situation.
