It was a very nice event.  The first part was mingling with fellow admitted students, with light appetizers and lemonade, followed by a wonderful presentation in the theater by student dancers and the student company of the spring musical, Chicago.  The upper school jazz band also played.  Talented kids!  Three current seniors were the emcees of the evening.  The head of school spoke along with the assistant director of college counseling (or something like that, didn't catch his exact title, but he was very engaging).  The second half of the evening was meeting with teachers in the various disciplines and learning about the curriculum, activities, etc.  My DC came away from the evening super pumped for Bullis.  There were a lot of current students there to talk to, along with upper school teachers.  The head of school said this year was a record year for applications and the lowest acceptance rate in the school's history.  He also said that four years ago they made a strategic decision to grow the school but they've hit that goal now.  Incoming 9th grade class will be a little smaller than the past couple of years.

All in all, Bullis made for a very welcoming environment last night.  I'm sure you can call with any questions you may have.  They encouraged families to reach out. [/quote]

Congrats!  As a new LS family this year, we have found the school to be amazing. Very welcoming, kind and well run.  My child loves going to school each day. No complaints!  [/quote]
