All dissenting politicians should show up tonight wearing a face mask.
A great idea and I just called my House member asking him to wear a mask and also called Jeffries office asking him to ask all Democrats to wear a mask tonight protesting trump screaming about "illegal" protests
You realize that many states have laws banning wearing masks while committing a crime? This was in response to the KKK. Do you support the KKK wearing masks now?
Is peaceful protesting a crime?
Breaking into buildings and holding workers hostage as happened just last week is a crime.
What are you talking about?
I assumed this was a reference to January 6 until I read "last week"
https://www.cnn.com/2025/...index.html https://www.columbiaspect...n-damages/ https://www.foxnews.com/m...c-response
This is what prompted the statement from Trump. He through Dept of Ed and HHS is threatening to stop federal research funding for Columbia. https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2025/03/03/hhs-ed-gsa-announce-additional-measures-end-anti-semitic-harassment-college-campuses.html
Thank you PP for posting this. I am a Columbia alumna and was on campus for Alumni weekend last year. The pro-Palestinian protests I saw on campus throughout the weekend were extremely peaceful. There was angry shouting outside the gates from a group of counter pro-bombing of Gaza protesters (I am trying to avoid equating pro-war/death with Israelis in general). The counter protesters were clearly not students bc they were not allowed on campus and they were quite aggressive trying to block alumni from entering campus.
All of which is up for the local police, campus police, and administrators to deal with. Not for Trump to erode 1A with threats.
