We’re a two fed family so we’re already doing this. But glad something is being organized.
Do you really think neither of you is capable of obtaining a job? Did you expect a lifetime sinecure?
DP. What exactly are you arguing here?
Another DP: I saw the comment about the two Feds and wondered the same thing. I am a Fed and had an intuition that Trump would win and go after Feds with Project 2025. I am a secure GS-15 but began to put out feelers for jobs even before the inauguration. I am very employable it seems, and I wonder why the Feds who are concerned about losing jobs are doing the same thing. At all of the jobs I will make more money with better perks
That's easy for you as a GS-15 since it is assumed you are in a management position probably in the DMV. I am more concerned with the GS workers in the hinterlands who are in rank-and-file jobs that don't easily translate into private sector. For example, the recently promoted/probationary Social Security office clerk (from GS-7 to GS-9) who knows the intake process like the back of their hand and can assist the elderly and disabled with issues. That person is NOT going to find it easy to get another job comparable to what they do as a GS-9 AND the community is losing a real Federal asset that is helping people.
