We are Indians. At the very minimum - we are always stocked up on - lentils, beans, rice, various kinds of flour, cooking oil, onions, potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, whole spices, ghee, tea leaves, sugar, milk powder, seeds, raw peanuts, nuts, dry fruits, condensed milk, full propane gas cylinder and camp stove. We can cook up a storm even if we are stuck in our attic.
Why the need to identify "who" you are?? Plenty of people have those usual common ingredients and things in their homes, nothing to do with "who" you are
Are you kidding? Your average person’s kitchen is full of boxes of processed food, and they wouldn’t know ghee if it smacked them across the face.
Many people use ghee. Regular grocery stores carry them. It's not as special as you think.
I have never seen ghee called for in any non-south Asian recipe, or in the kitchen of anyone who wasn’t south Asian.
