I am a progressive and I have felt that equity is bull crap. It’s clearly discrimination by race. Equality is good but equity is racism. Can we please just give up the equity crap so that we can keep our democracy? Throw them a bone and then in exchange get them to stop dismantling our government.[/quote]

How is equity racist? Don't say there are hiring quotas or preferences because that is NOT what equity means and never has -- are you against equal pay for equal work? Equal opportunities on the job? DEI is nothing other than what the Civil Rights Act actually requires. Nothing more, nothing less. And our courts have said so. If it was something else, why weren't there a crap ton of lawsuits about it where people won? Instead, just a bunch of propaganda lies for election purposes.
