I will say though that eggs prices at least in CA are really variable. Whole Foods today had a dozen for 3.99, Costco where I normally shop is 6.99 for 2 dozen. It would be even cheaper if I was willing to buy the big 5 dozen pack. At Safeway a dozen was over $11.

Milk at Costco is 5.99 for 2 gallons while Whole Foods is around 8 for a gallon as is Safeway but Target is around 3.99 for a gallon.

It’s weird that something which is a commodity has such huge price variance.

Stock up now, it’s going to get worse. Here on the east coast we’ve had so many “layer” facilities go down, millions. That’s why. But there’s no end in sight unless farms start making barns airtight with filters [/quote]
