Like someone said earlier if you're a new sup on probation instead of being fired you're basically back at your old position. Happened to me when I had to demote a new sup that wasn't performing.
So a new supervisor in probationary period will NOT be on the “list” to be sent on January 24 if the person would NOT be on the “list” if there was not a promotion?
I hope not! I'm actually on supervisory probation after more than two years thanks to HR. In my last job (first supervisory position) I never was put on the official supervisory probation period, even though I was there for 3 years. Took a promotion, HR finished updating the PD months after I started, and THEN put me on the one year supervisory probation. So I'm still on it for a couple more months after FOUR YEARS of supervision just because nobody checked the box. Annual reviews have been great, but my old job is full now, there's nowhere to demote me. So I just hope I'm not on a firing list thanks to HR slow walking this "probation."
