It’s been many years since there was an application process. Back in 2020 all kids in 5th grade were reviewed and the COGAT was used. They definitely did only take the top 1 percent.[/quote]

Yes, unless you were in the top 1% you had slim to no odds of getting into these special programs. Today at a high FARMS school many kids in the top 40% nationally qualify. The programs are still worthwhile but not the same as before.[/quote]
