We should normalize overnight care (family or paid) given the well documented connection between sleep deprivation and adverse mental health outcomes post-partum. We don’t tell people to tough it out or not brag about their luxuries when they have a therapist or other mental health professional, and people pay them a lot more than they do a night nurse over the course of a year.[/quote]
