That's bull and we all know it. And Im not even talking about immigrants.

We do not prioritize elderly care, or childcare, in this country for the neediest among us. Citizens or not. We are the wealthiest and greatest nation in the world and we let the elderly poor starve and freeze to death and molder away in sh°tty nursing homes because we do not care.

We have the space and the money. What we lack is the WILL and EMPATHY.[/quote]

That space and money is not there NOW. It could be redistributed, yes, and I expect you to vote appropriately to make that happen.

Meanwhile, you can open up your own home to someone who needs it. Perhaps even this woman. Are you doing that? Or are you making the choices to distribute your space and resources in a way that precludes sharing like this right now?

YOU are not better than America, lady. We can all do better, but I highly doubt you are an angel living in the midst of demons. You just want someone else to take care of this. That's fine, but they aren't less free from criticism than you individually.[/quote]
