The "media" is not democratic, not by a long shot. Just compare how it covered Biden's pardoning of Hunter to Trump's pardoning of Bannon/Stone. Compare how it covered Hunter Biden's "crimes" to the total ignoring of Ivanka and Jared's raping of the federal treasury, much less the actual graft of the Trump45 Administration.

The media is upset with Biden’s pardon because it is so damaging to the Democrat brand.  NY Times, June 2024:

“For nearly four years, Republicans have delved into the darkest corners of Hunter Biden’s life, seeking to tie his troubles to his father, President Biden. But as the younger Biden stands trial in Delaware on gun charges, the case’s glaring political contradictions have rendered the G.O.P. largely mute, from former President Donald J. Trump on down.

It stands to reason: The baseless claim that the Biden Justice Department is running a political persecution of Mr. Trump is somewhat undermined by the department’s prosecution of the president’s son.“

The slanted media loved the charges because it gave ammunition to the idea that the feds were impartial and fair. The pardon does away with all that and makes the party look bad.  THAT’s why the media is antagonistic towards Biden’s decision.[/quote]
What is crazy that Joe Biden’s own rationale for the pardon was precisely that he thought his own Justice Departement’s prosecution of his son was political and unfair. It is literally what Trump had been saying. He validated everything that Trump had said and that the media and Democrats had used to castigate Trump as a threat to the rule of law.[/quote]
