DP.  Just ostentatious by MI standards.  Meaning some not only have the funds to buy a Canada Goose parka but live within 75 miles of the store at Somerset Collection.  And have heard of the brand.

No, by any standard.  Money goes WAY farther in Michigan.  A $1-3 million dollar house in metro Detroit is obscenely over the top and showy, and there are a lot of those. As where a similar priced home on East coast can be pretty down to earth [/quote]

This. There are no jobs in Metro Detroit. The brain surgeons are paid in kittens. Accountants are literally paid in beans. The professors at Michigan are paid in apples and McDonalds gift certificates.[/quote]
