I can’t even imagine the pain of a family that has lost a child recently and is upset that Trump called their child a sucker and a loser. And then comes across their child’s grave in the background of a Trump add. Seriously MAGA? He could just have some common decency and not film the graves of the recently deceased whose families he insulted as a campaign as. Just once, he could attend the memorial without making it a campaign ad? His staff couldn’t use their words than than manhandling civil servants at Arlington who are trying to do their jobs in a nonpartisan manner?
Now consider the episode with John Kelly at his son’s grave. Look, the fact is that if you support this low-life, it’s because you are one yourself or you’re just in complete denial regarding how he views you. I’m a NYer, i have family who knew him and know him. The man sees anyone who isn’t from LA or NY as a hick, if not worse. He doesn’t care if you’re UMC in some DC suburb or some rich nobody in the south. He sure as hell thinks you’re a loser if you’re serving in the military and making almost nothing. And don’t stupidly think I’m a Democrat. That you think anyone has to be, to see this repugnant man for what he is, is why you must be a low-life or dumb.
You’re, not wrong. But people knew he was a low life in 2016 and still voted for him. And, unfortunately, Biden-Harris stunk it up so bad the past four years they seem willing to vote for him again. Let that soak in.
New Yorkers knew, but most of America saw what was crafted on "The Apprentice" and thought he was a shrewd businessman.
Agree. People did not think he was a low life. They thought he was a savvy outsider who was going to "drain the swamp." Media gave him a lot of attention. People thought he was a smart businessman and they liked his kids. He played up.his family and people talked about how he had nice kids back then! People didn't like Hilary Clinton. At the time, they had no idea that he would refuse to concede and foment insurrection. Now they know. And those willing to vote for him have no excuses anymore. It's not because of anything Biden/Harris did. Some people like hatred and doom. He gives them that.
