Sold SFH in Rest of Virginia then bought a similar (older, not McMansion) house in McLean for commute convenience, schools, and so on. A lot of State Dept workers buy in McLean, then almost immediately lease it out to cover the mortgage while they are overseas. GWP to State at Foggy Bottom is an easy commute.[/quote]
