Biden single-handedly destroyed immigration. We are no longer getting the best immigrants. We are getting the bottom of the barrel freebie wanting migrants that don’t want to work. What Trump said about Mexico not sending their best became true. Mexico ignores the cartel so long as they take care of business and send these migrants away from Mexico into the U.S. -many as drug mules for the cartel to bring drugs into the US. The jig is about to be up once Trump comes back in office. The border will be handled.
This is so xenophobic. I can’t believe Jeff has not deleted this disgusting thread. These are human beings we are talking about.
Need to update PP's post to this...because yes, I agree that Biden and the entire Dem administration destroyed immigration. And we are not talking just "Mexico" -- it's not just Mexicans crossing illegally into the US anymore - because it's become so easy other nationalities have caught on and are coming in through our southern borders. Although not all...many are not like the immigrants from the 70s, 80s, or even 90s....who came here to work hard and make something of themselves. Now you arrive and you get free everything, including healthcare -- trust me I know. Now...I am first generation and my parents suffered and worked hard....but never once took a free handout, never went on welfare or medicaid. So when I see the overflow of immigrants/asylum seekers given free this and that...which for maybe the first 30 days in the country is fine....I'm sorry, call me cold hearted but that's gotta stop.
Why can't Biden just grant them amnesty like Reagan? The GOP loves Reagan so amnesty must be a good solution.
Most moonbats have black and white thinking and can’t see the bigger picture. Conservatives like Reagan but don’t have to like everything he did. They hammer him in that decision now and they did back then. They should be deported as far as I’m concerned
Bush also gave them amnesty. Point being: Those Rs realized that the cat was out of the bag, and the best you could do was manage it by letting them stay, get jobs and pay taxes. This has been stated numerous times: these people come here because they know that people will give them jobs. Let's remember that business owners and executives tend to lean right. Even Trump's hotels use illegal immigrant labor. And they do so because the consequence for hiring illegal immigrants is not enough of a deterrent. It's just a slap on the wrist. Kill the demand, and you will kill the supply.
Sorry. We are not allowing the millions of migrants who Biden/Harris let in stay in the US. Not when there are millions more who are trying to come in the legal way. They are not all coming for jobs. Too many are coming for the freebies the US offers illegals. Look at where they are going - to cities that have right to shelter laws and food cards for migrants. And, we also have the hundreds of thousands of migrants that fraudulently came here on the CHNV parole program. Deport them all. [twitter]https://x.com/BillMelugin_/status/1819399732743360966[/twitter] The program has been used by the Biden admin to bring more than 500,000 Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians, & Nicaraguans into the U.S. via direct flights. The reports found significant fraud in sponsor applications, including: “100,948 forms were filled out by 3,218 serial sponsors -- those whose number appears on 20 or more forms. It also found that 24 of the 1,000 most used numbers belonged to a dead person. Meanwhile, 100 physical addresses were used between 124 and 739 times on over 19,000 forms. Those addresses included storage units. One sponsor phone number was submitted on over 2,000 forms, and there were 2,839 forms with non-existent sponsor zip codes.”
Most come here for jobs, period. They don't want to live in shelters forever. They want jobs. https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/massachusetts-migrants-work-authorization-jobs/
Nearly half of the 1600 individuals they support have found work. "They want to be able to work to support family, not sleep in a shelter, they want to find the American dream," said La Colaborativa Chief Operating Officer Dinanyili Paulino. ccording to the Healey administration, in the last five months more than 3,500 new arrivals have been assisted with work authorizations, 626 living in shelters have found jobs, and over 1,000 are enrolled in language classes. After pressure on the Biden Administration work authorizations now take only months instead of years. It made all the difference for Doublenska Merina and Ledna Fermont who arrived in Massachusetts from Haiti last July, got their work papers by November and found jobs assisting developmentally disabled residents at Thrive Support Advocacy in Marlboro, which has recently hired 25 migrants. The organization like many others in human services had a 25 to 30% vacancy rate, but it is now close to being totally staffed for the first time in a decade. "All of us are looking for creative ways to address staffing shortages," said CEO Sean Rose. "We were very intentional about doing everything we could to say how can we do this."
Don't tell me that there are tons of real Americans waiting in line to work with disabled people for minimum pay. And before you say, well they should pay more then real Americans would want those jobs -- those centers are largely run by NGO with grants from the government. So, if you want to raise taxes so that real Americans can get those wonderful jobs helping disabled people, then vote D.
