Never in a million years did I think I and a billion people would be called pretentious for drinking tea. Do you hear yourself?
2B+ ppl in India and China alone? So pretentious, especially the people living in shanty towns. Also the whole UK, obviously.
So your argument that tea is genuinely good is third worlders in shanty towns like the taste of earth and grass flavored broth?
Just like in the US, the majority of people in China and India live in urban areas. You are calling the residents of some of the largest and most urban cities in the world third worlder in shanty towns? Beijing? Shanghai? Tokyo? Hong Kong? Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad? You realize that China has over a dozen cities that are larger and more populated than DC. Plus, these are cities that are thousands of years old, not a couple of hundred years old. America is an uncultured child compared to most of Asia. When the US drinks more sugared sodas than tea, you can't say that we are more cultured than they.
A dozen? More like a hundred.
