He was a high school science teacher and then an assistant principal at Wilson/Jackson-Reed. He was then selected as principal at Oyster-Adams when our previous principal left. Since seeing him in action I have talked to parents with kids at Jackson-Reed who said he was awful to deal with as an AP there. DCPS has finally realized it's a losing proposition to keep employing him. Unfortunately it seems that Montgomery County is willing to take him on.
I knew him at Jackson-Reed. He was a terrible teacher and then a terrible assistant principal. But he was very good at kow-towing to the right people
Aren't they all though? In MCPS, I've worked with a terrible teacher who called out often, during COVID, didn't do half her work, and comlalined all of the time. Fast forward to now, she is an AP. Hoping she doesn't become a principal but knowing that in MCPS, it's not what you know, it's who you know, she will probably get moved up. This Roscoe Nix Principal sounds terrible. He will get moved ip to CO soon.
