It wasn’t posted. She was just handed the job. She only had one year experience as an AP prior… they gave the acting AP position to a third grade teacher because he was in a program to become an admin. It was a disaster. No idea why MCPS thought this would work out well for the upcoming school year. [/quote]

They had to scramble because the previous principal was caught doing something he shouldn't be (not kid-related) and was rightly forced out. The principal before that was amazing.

My kid is at ESS and I highly recommend it, despite the admin challenges, which were all top-down MCPS decisions. The community and kids are great, and 90% of the teachers were good to outstanding.

Small class sizes, small school, almost everyone can walk. Lots to love. [/quote]
